21 Days

We are officially 21 days away from closing on our new house!!

The scariest part is the fact that we still haven't sold our home. We have and continue to have a good amount of traffic but no firm offers. We have heard everything from not liking the neighborhood, too small for people downsizing, not the right floor plan and the one that makes no sense to us is that we have too much wood floors. Our hope is that once we close on the new house, get the dogs and all the dog smelling items out, clear out some of the access items that it will sell quickly.

So keep us in your thoughts/prayers that our house sells, preferrably by April 6th but by the end of May at the latest.

9 months

The last nine months have been full of change.  Last March, Joe took a Regional Sales position with Marel Food Systems, Inc.  He sells equipment to manufacturing and processing plants.  He finally feels as though he has found a place where he fits and is challenged on a daily basis.  He travels about 60-75% of the time due to his five state territory

Along with job changes, we are in the process of trying to sell our house.  We have owned our home for the past 8 years and are ready for an upgrade.  We have already found the home we want so our fingers are crossed that in the next two weeks our home sells. We are staying in McKinney just moving about two miles down the road into one of the more established neighborhoods.

The next 9 months (6 months from posting) are guaranteed to bring many more changes because we are expecting our first child September 10th!  To say we are excited seems like a HUGE understatement!!  It has been fun breaking the news to friends and family since most people had given up hope on us ever reaching the decision to have a family.  (aside from the furry, four-legged kind!)
